Tor S. Haugstad

Tor serves as Medical and Neuroscience Chair of the Department of NeuroRehabilitation at Sunnaas National Rehabilitation Hospital, Norway’s leading institution in the area of rehabilitation. He has initiated several internationally recognized (CARF accredited) programs in rehabilitation of patients with pain disorders, neuroinflammatory, neurodegenerative and neuromuscular disorders; and is the recipient of numerous international awards.
He graduated from the University of Oslo (cum laud / MD with honors); is the Founding Director for the Institute for Clinical Nutrition at the University Hospital Akershus; and is on the Board of Neurologists for the Norwegian Medical Association.

He and his wife Gro Killi live in Kolbotn, Norway and have three adult married children and six grandchildren.

Tor has been involved in CBMC since 2005, when it started, and has served on the CBMC Noway Board since its inception.
